Michael Jackson

My little brother David wrote about MICHAEL JACKSON. He misses him, and I feel bad.
I would like to add a recent quote from Brooke Shields that appeared in Us magazine.

She last saw Jackson at Elizabeth Taylor’s 1991 wedding.
“He seemed like his own funny self,” she says. “We snuck in and took pictures of ourselves next to her dress. We always seemed to revert to being little kids. It was a sanctuary for him, because he knew I never wanted anything from him but his happiness.”

I think some of us in the (virtual) kid community can identify with that.

Rezday 3 Part 2

Part 1: Rezday 3 [Update 1 2]

It’s my rezday! Yay!

Look! My dads threw a party for me, outside of the RanDom Amusement Park, and they invited all my friends!

Wow look at this awesome party Dad! Thanks!

*hugs*

We ran inside to the party.

Koffeekid was the DJ for me.

The music was good. He messed up the Happy Birthday song, but that’s okay.

Inside the party, the kids all played tag.

I opened a few presents.

I met some new friends!

Gary the Snail and Spongebob visited! Gary left dangerous patches of snail slime all over the dance floor. Koffeekid had to announce a warning about it.
And Patrick too! What Gary has in snail slime, Patrick has in idle drool.
Gel came and gave me a hug.

I can never figure this out. When I hug Gel, I’m the one who gets squished into a tight little ball. ???

Anyway. *squish*

Look at everyone who came to help me celebrate!

I felt really happy.

Marianne visited the party. She has crutches because she twisted her ankle at a bad sim crossing. She came just in time for ice cream!

Yum!

After the party, some of the kids stayed to go on rides in the amusement park

(( I got a kid AO from Tiger Animations from Randy and Domineck ))

Look what I can do! I can roll! Watch! Are you watching?? Watch!

After that, Sok, Gel, Trodden, and I went to Sok’s meadow.

And Trodden gave me a new pet bunny!

As for Sok’s new hatchling…

Adz Childs listens carefully.
Adz Childs: …it sounds like he’s saying “pee! pee!”. I think we should call him “Peepee”.
Sokmunky Rutabaga: Adz, you think that’s the right name?
Adz Childs: Yeah.

Thanks, everyone! -Adz

Oh, I Like Piano

Sokmunky invited some of the kids to Ingbees Blues House, Sunset Arts (209, 22, 22) to listen to Winters Kanto play some blues piano. Dakota was there. So was Leendert. adz_dancing_to_blues
I got up close to the piano player for a better look. Kids can get away with that, I think. But don’t tell anyone I actually know better.
It was fun. I really like the blues on the piano I think. It’s like exciting and relaxing at the same time. Don’t ask me how that works.

I promised some pictures. First I saw Uncle Janor, and he played all of our favorite songs. He rocks. janor at kids5b
Next I heard Nick99 Razor. He sounded awesome. This was a really great concert ( I think of it as KidsStock hehe ). During this concert of course it occurred to me that Kids5B has been very good for us, and I lost myself in my own thoughts for a while. It might have been the music, or it might have just been past time for me to take a moment for reflection. Nick99 Razor at kids5b

I went to the doctor, I went to the mountains.
I looked to the children, I drank from the fountains.
Theres more than one answer to these questions,
Pointing me in a crooked line.
And the less I seek my source for some definitive
The closer I am to fine

Robie Bloch at kids5b

No offense to Ms Robie because song sounded awesome. But, this was the first time I heard this song in the correct key. You see, the very first time I heard this song was here. ANYWAY… I heard it properly for the first time today, during my quiet time.

Is this song profound, or just an attempt to sound profound? I can’t tell. It’s a pretty-sounding song, in any case (unless your roommate butchers it). And, something can be taken from the lyrics, I admit. No one has the definite answers — especially not the professor, not the bible, and not the beer, nor the friend at the bar. So, don’t get bogged down in the unknown. Follow your instincts and go with what is know-able.

This has been an emotional week for me. There was a very touching post in a political blog this week. Someone I’ve never met just poured his heart out on matters that meant alot to me, and he received a surprising amount of unanimous positive feedback. I am sorry cannot link you to the post. Between this post, and some of the transformation stories I read at Kids5B, I feel a new sense of clarity, resignation, and comfort. What a combination, huh? I am tempted to pour out my thoughts on this blog but I know that I cannot. Not really. I can just say that some times it feels that the world is against me, or us, rather. That we are the world’s monsters. We are seen in black and white, with no insight. So much easier, to dehumanize…it sure makes it simpler, doesn’t it? For me, it can be very difficult to hear what people think of me. Its terribly repetitive, and its not a healthy thing to hear. And I’m tired of it. That’s the clarity and resignation part. I’m just happy i found some people, both in SL and in RL, with whom I feel comfortable, to whom I owe no explanations. That’s the comforting part.

Its enough to make me find insight in a pop song.
