There were about 5000 last names at that time. I had no way to know which names were vanity names or publicly-offered names, or when they were originally offered. So I mark all names before that date as date opened and date closed "unknown". In 2006 the average number of users per last name was in the hundreds, yes. :) Childs has 400.
